Your Berber driver/guide from Merzouga, Morocco, takes you on travels to Morocco Imperial Cities, Fortified Coastal towns and Berber villages through the Mid & High Atlas and Rif Mountains.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Casablanca Airport to Casablanca or Rabat

CASABLANCA

You are picked up at Casablanca, Morocco airport and taken to 4 star hotel in center of Casablanca, with its buildings of Art Deco and Neo-Moorish styles, is the commercial center of Morocco or Ryad in Rabat- depending upon time of arrival. Dinner ( not included) is optional at ryad.

Day 2: Casablanca / Rabat, Volubilis, Fez

CASABLANCA / RABAT – FEZ

Short tour of Rabat, your third imperial city of Morocco. As you travel to the youngest Imperial City of Morocco-Meknes, you stop to explore Volubilis, the Roman ruins from 100 BC when it was the capital of MAURITANIA TINGITANA.
Travel to your ryad in Fes. That evening, a Folklore Show with Dinner where you also plan your next days outing with your official guide. We encourage you to be involved in what you want to see.

Day 3: Visit of Fez

FEZ

The most Imperial City of Morocco!!!! Visit the largest souk in Morocco and in Africa. Your guide will help you visit all the palaces and special historic places here. Fes was the spiritual and cultural center of Morocco and has multiple facets to explore. Dinner at ryad.

Day 4: Fez to Marrakesh

FEZ – MARRAKESH

Early start today. Visit Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco. Travel through Berber villages on the way to Marrakech. We like ryads in Marrakech where we have found hospitality in restored palaces. Dinner at ryad.

Day 5: Visit of Marrakesh

MARRAKESH

Your last Imperial City of Morocco and The Pearl of the South. Visit the Arabic palaces and old Koran school for a taste of culture and history. Visit the Souk where many Morocco guild artisans can be watched as they work. Beautiful Moroccan tapestry and fabrics and leather. Exotic spices.
The Plaza Djemna el Fna with Berber musicians, snake charmers, fortunetellers, snake charmers, fire-eaters, storytellers is a must. The night brings the FANTASIA spectacular, a special Marrakech dinner with famous Berber horsemen in Battle on Arab horses held under Royal Khaima tents.

Day 6: Marrakesh to Essaouira

MARRAKESH – ESSAOUIRA

Travel a short distance to Essaouira this interesting coastal fishing town with Portuguese ramparts and red walls surrounding the city. One famous Morocco export from here are wooden objects made from thuja tree roots- watch the craftsmen at work. Dinner not included.

Day 7: Essaouira to Casablanca

ESSAOUIRA – CASABLANCA

Traveling up the Atlantic Coast to El Jadida where there is a Portuguese fort with ramparts and an underground cistern. We recommend a 4 start hotel in Casablanca or 5 star in El Jadida. Dinner not included.

Day 8: Departure from Casablanca Airport

CASABLANCA

After breakfast, you are escorted around Casablanca for a short tour or depart for airport with your beautiful memories and recollections of Exotic Morocco.

Tour Details

We prefer using ryads that are restored places whenever possible and 4* hotels. All Continental or Buffet Breakfasts and 4 Dinners- 2 with Folklore Shows are included.

Transportation is a new comfortable SUV vehicle with an English-speaking driver who is your overall guide throughout the trip. He meets you at the airport, is available throughout the trip and helps you with your departure from Casablanca.

There are local official guides in Fes and Marrakech. Included are Entrance Fees to Kasbahs, Historic Sites, Museums and Mosques; 2 Dinner/Folklore Shows in Fes and Marrakech. Not included are tips or travel insurance that is required.
