ITINERARY

Day 1: Casablanca airport to Casablanca or Rabat

CASABLANCA

Arrival to Casablanca, the commercial center of Morocco with its buildings of Art Deco and Neo-Moorish styles. You shall be picked up at the Casablanca, Morocco airport and taken to your 4* hotel in Casablanca or ryad in Rabat- depending on time of arrival. Dinner not included.

Day 2: Casablanca/Rabat, Volubilis, Fes

CASABLANCA / RABAT to FEZ

Travel through the agricultural area, the plains of Morocco, visit Volubilis, 27 A.C. A Roman ruins and travel to Fez, the most Imperial City of Morocco. Your ryad awaits you with grand splendor. Best of Morocco Dinner/ show where you meet your official guide for the next day. You discuss what you want to do and see with him as we treat our clients very special.

Day 3: Visit of Fez

FEZ

Visit the largest souk in Morocco and in Africa.Our local, official guide will help you visit all the palaces and special places here. Fes was the spiritual and cultural center of Morocco and has multiple facets to explore. Dinner at your ryad.

Day 4: Fez to Merzouga

FEZ to MERZOUGA

Travel to Ifrane, the Swiss mountain village and the cedar forests of Azrou with the famous Morocco apes where you feed them apples and peanuts in their natural environment. Pass through the Mid Atlas Mountains and the only tunnel in Morocco and through the Valley of Ziz with miles of palm trees and high cliffs.

The GRAND CANYON OF MOROCCO as we say. Heading for the Deep South and the Sahara Desert of Morocco with its sand dunes and camels. Pass the night at HAVEN LA CHANCE DESERT HOTEL alongside the sand dunes of Erg Chebbie outside of Merzouga. Dinner Included. This is also our headquarters in Morocco.

Day 5: Visit Villages and family in Merzouga

MERZOUGA

Here in the sand dunes, the largest in Morocco, enjoy the panoramic scene of black volcanic rock on the hamad or plains, the bright blue sky, the green palm trees, white salt beds, mirages of water, golden shifting dunes. Perhaps Rissani for the weekly markets where nomads come to sell. Pass the lake in Merzouga where sometimes there are flamiingos. Or just have lunch with our Berber family and friends before beginning your over night camel excursion with a campfire dinner- in the sand dunes under the stars.

Day 6: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

MERZOUGA to OUARZAZATE

Travel through small Berber and Arab villages to Todra Gorge and Dades Valley. At the Todra Gorge, 20 meters separate the sheer 300-meter-high-walls. Great hiking, trekking, and climbing. In Ouarzazate, visit the film studio Hollywood of Morocco, time permitting, and see many props from modern films. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah. We prefer to use ryads here, one being inside the Kasbah. Dinner included.

Day 7: Ouarzazate to Marrakesh

OUARZAZATE to MARRAKESH

Travel across the High Atlas of Morocco mountains on curvy, winding roads to Marrakech. The scenery is breathtaking. A hike at the Tichka Pass for the nature lovers. The Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and other Kasbahs are along the way. A good ryad in the medina is our choice of accomodations here. Dinner is not included as there as many restaurants in the Plaza Djemna el Fna.

Day 8: Visit of Marrakesh

MARRAKESH

Your second Imperial City of Morocco and The Pearl of the South. Visit the Arabic palaces and old Koran school for a taste of Morocco culture and history. Visit the Souk where many guild artisans can be watched as they work. Beautiful tapestry and fabrics and leather. Exotic spices.

The Plaza Djemna el Fna with Berber musicians, snake charmers, fortunetellers, snake charmers, fire-eaters, storytellers is a must. The night brings the FANTASIA spectacular, a special Marrakech dinner with famous Berber horsemen in Battle on Morocco Arab horses held under Royal Khaima tents. You are escorted by your official guide.

Day 9: Visit of Marrakesh

MARRAKESH

You have your driver/guide to visit gardens, etc or spend free time wandering around. Dinner included the last night in Marrakech at your ryad.

Day 10: Marrakesh to Essaouira

MARRAKESH to ESSAOUIRA

Travel 2 hours to Essaouira, a coastal fishing village with a lovely beach. Smaller version than Marrakech with a lot of Portuguese history. Ryad type of hotel. Dinner not included as you have a lot of choices.

Day 11: Essaouira to Casablanca

ESSAOUIRA to CASABLANCA

Travel the coast to Casablanca, the commercial center of Morocco with its buildings of Art Deco and Neo-Moorish styles. Drive around the city and visit the Hassan 11 Tower and famous Mosque. Hotel here in the center of town is the 4 Star Ramada Inn. Dinner not included.

Day 12: Departure from Casablanca Airport

CASABLANCA

After breakfast, prepare for departure to Casablanca, Morocco airport as you carry your Morocco holiday travel experiences with you.

There are local official guides in Fes and Marrakech, and our Berber family and friends in the desert. Included are Entrance Fees to Kasbahs, Historic Sites, Museums and Mosques.
